Met Office issue warning for more snow and ice

The Met Office have issued warnings for further snow and ice for the Staffordshire area tomorrow (Saturday 23rd January 2021).

Dry and mostly clear through this evening and tonight. Winds will remain light and it will be feeling cold with widespread frosts forming by morning. Risk of ice. Minimum temperature -4 °C.

Public Health England (PHE) has issued a new cold weather alert for all regions of England from 9am on Friday 22 January until midnight on Monday 25 January.

Saturday:

After a bright frosty start most will see a dry morning with plenty of sunny spells. Wintry showers, heavy at times, will affect some through the afternoon and evening. Cold. Maximum temperature 4 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

A risk of snow on Sunday, though dry for some. Clear on Monday with isolated wintry showers. Heavy and wintry rain on Tuesday. Cold throughout with frosts and icy stretches.
