After a dry but breezy start the occassional blustery shower will develop through the afternoon and become widespread by evening. It will feel cold in the wind. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Overnight it will be breezy with scattered, locally heavy showers or longer spells of rain. Some clear spells will develop towards dawn. Minimum temperature 4 °C.
Snow has been forecast by the Met Office for the Scottish highlands and high-level areas of northern England, where yellow weather warnings for ice are in place. It looks like Staffordshire may miss out on the ice and snow, but we will get some cold spells.
