Police issue wanted photos from Hanley riot
Following the disorder/riots in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent on Saturday 3rd August 2024 Staffordshire Police have issued the below photo’s, any members of the public who have information regarding the people in the photos should contact Staffordshire Police.
Police told North Staffs TV that two officers were injured as a result of projectiles being thrown during the disorder in Hanley. Some of our footage posted to YouTube shows some of the disorder witnessed that day.
Staffordshire Police told us “Our dedicated team of detectives are working around the clock to review the thousands of hours of footage following the violent disorder we’ve seen in Staffordshire. This includes footage submitted to us by the public, and our own drone surveillance, body-worn video and the National Police Air Service (NPAS) footage of the disorder that took place in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, on Saturday (3 August).
“We’ve arrested 14 people across the county, including five people from Stoke-on-Trent, in the last 24-hours with more expected as our robust investigation continues.
“Our investigation is comprehensive and impartial, ensuring consistent and proportionate accountability for criminal behaviour.
“We recognise that some footage shared on social media has gained traction and impacted on public confidence, particularly surrounding a protest liaison officer giving words of advice to a group in Stoke-on-Trent on Saturday (3 August).
“We are continuing to review this footage and all of the material available.”
