Day's Out

Days Out – Lakemore Farm Park [REVIEW]

If you looking for a day out that is just 30 mins drive from Stoke-on-Trent and offers great value for money then we suggest you take a look at Lakemore Farm Park.

The farm is great if you have young children and the cost for a day out here is one of the lowest around.

This is a family ran business so you get more of the personal touch than you do at some other larger farms.

There is a wide range of farm animals to see (for example sheep, pigs, cows, goats, donkeys, birds and much more) You can find out more about the animals they have here.

There is both indoor and outdoor play areas for the children.

In the inside play barn there is a cow that the children can milk, a large indoor sand pit, play area with toys, a selection of ride on toys, there is also a indoor carting track with various cars to suit most ages and sizes of children. There is also a large seating area with tables. This page here explains more about the indoor facilities.

Outside there is a few play areas for children with a good selection of outdoor play equipment to suit all ages. There is seating available outdoors, but not much, I think that is one of the only downsides we found. There is also a mini golf course outside. This page here explains more about the outdoor facilities.

Based on our visit to Lakemore Farm Park we would recommend this to others, especially if you have young children it offers a great day out at very reasonable prices.

We have made a list below of some of the key points this venue has to offer.

Key Points

The entrance cost is just £3.95 for both adults and children – under 3’s get in for free. We recommend you book in advance online.

The farm is approximately 30 mins drive from Stoke-on-Trent, easy to find if you use a Satnav.

When we arrived there was a lady to greet us on the car park and tell you where to park. As this is a working farm there isn’t a massive car park so if busy this little touch helps a lot.

The cost for food and drink is very low. For example for a child’s meal box it cost just £4.25 ( you get sandwiches, drink, crisps, yogurt, chocolate mini roll and a small box of raisins ) To buy a fruit shoot drink on its own is just £1. The on site café also sell a wide range of drinks, cakes, ice lolly’s and other snack food at very reasonable prices.

We spent around 4 hours here, but you could quite easily spend longer.

You can feed the animals, they sell small bags of animal food for 60p.

There is a good selection of things to do both indoors and outdoors.

This is a farm so if the weather is wet then you might be best to wear wellies as it could get muddy.
