Scam Alert – Right To Buy

Cold callers have been reported in the city claiming that Stoke-on-Trent City Council is selling its stock of 18,000 properties and offering to help with the process. The callers claimed to be working for a business called ‘Your Right To Buy’, of which no trace can be found online.

While the purposes of these calls is not known, it is likely that the motive are less than honest and could potentially expose residents to financial loss and even put them at risk of homelessness.
