Man arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker
A man has been arrested after an incident in Stoke-on-Trent where a paramedic reported being chased with a metal bar.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to a property in Blurton at 7.55pm last night (Tuesday 14 April) following reports that a man had collapsed.
On arrival the ambulance crew called police for emergency assistance after a man allegedly threatened a paramedic with a metal bar.
A 40-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of affray and assault of an emergency worker.
He was later released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Officers are asking for any witnesses, or anyone with any information to contact 101, quoting incident number 659 of 14 April.
