o2 and Vodafone Network Issues – Stoke-on-Trent [19-02-2020]

A large number of o2 and Vodafone mobile phone users in Stoke on Trent are reporting that the network is currently down.  We have checked with a number of users around the city and all report that they have no mobile signal. 

This outage is also affecting o2 virtual providers, currently there are four (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) using O2’s network, which are GiffGaff, Sky Mobile, Tesco Mobile and Lycamobile. On Vodafone there is two providers VOXI and Lebara Mobile.

The website DownDetector also lists Stoke on Trent as the top area for problems at the moment on the o2 and Vodafone networks.

According to o2 and Vodafone their engineers are aware of this issue and they are working to resolve this. At this time we are unsure if the o2 and Vodafone issues are related.
