A50 combined maintenance scheme (November and December 2025)

National Highways will be carrying out resurfacing, bridge joint replacement and drainage works, on the Alhambra Interchange, Heron Cross Roundabout, and the A50 westbound between Meir Interchange and Alhambra Interchange.

The completed work will provide a safer road, whilst reducing the need for future maintenance.

Work will take place from 17 November to 8 December 2025, on weeknights, between 8pm and 6am, under the following traffic management:

17 November to 21 November – full closure of eastbound exit and entry slip roads of Alhambra Interchange, including full closure of northern roundabout.

24 November to 25 November – full closure of westbound exit and entry slip roads of Alhambra Interchange, including full closure of southern roundabout.

26 November to 27 November – full westbound carriageway closure from Meir Interchange to Alhambra Interchange.

28 November to 8 December – full closure of Heron Cross roundabout including all slip roads.

Emergency vehicles will have access throughout.
