Better Together launch their community HQ in Trent Vale
A Staffordshire based charity will open its community HQ in Trent Vale at the start of October.
Founded in 2018 Better Together works with people at risk from hardship and social isolation through a range of projects.
These include Little Humans mother and toddler groups run around the city, and the A-Maize-Ing Grow community garden at Our Lady and St Werburgh’s Catholic Primary School on Seabridge Lane in Clayton.
Better Together also operate a food bank and provide signposting to other support services for clients.
The new Community HQ will be based in a shop unit provided by Stoke-on-Tent City Council on Woodberry Close in Trent Vale.
Better Together CEO Birgit Allport described the new HQ as offering a “community space suitable for all ages”, where “older people can pop in for a brew and a bit of company and parents can come along with their toddlers for a play date”.
The HQ will also be a hub for the support activities the charity offers including helping people with form filling and will extend their reach into local communities.
A special launch event will take place between 10:00am and 1:00pm on Saturday 4th October and will be attended by Stoke-on-Trent Lord Mayor Faisal Hussain and local Paralympian and Better Together patron Ian Marsden.
