The F&E Butterworth Ltd Sign & Zanzibar Site [Newcastle-Under-Lyme]

Here is some video we took of the recently discovered F&E Butterworth Ltd sign that was hidden for many years by the former Zanzibar nightclub building. The video also shows what the building site looks like now, as the club has been removed.

The three-storey 36,000 sq ft building was on Brunswick Street in Newcastle-under-Lyme, it was formerly known as The Crystal Ballroom and latterly Zanzibar Nightclub, it closed in 2004.

The demolition is being funded as part of the Newcastle Town Deal secured by Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council and Aspire Housing will be redeveloping the site.
