Met Office issue warning of snow and ice for North Staffordshire (07-01-2021)
The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for snow and ice covering almost all of the UK throughout Thursday and Friday. The news comes as temperatures drop to as low as -7C in parts of the UK, bringing fears we could soon see another Beast from the East.
According to the Met Office there will be outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow that will creep in from the north, gradually moving south, becoming heavier during the early hours. Fog developing overnight, as well as widespread frost, turning icy in places. Minimum Temperature -3 °C.
On Friday we will see some fog lingering, remaining cold and icy for all. A wintry morning to start with outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow, lingering late into the day, clearing by night. Maximum Temperature 3 °C.
