Woman from Hartshill named as murder investigation continues

Detectives from Staffordshire Police are investigating the murder of a woman in Stoke-on-Trent have today named her as Nicola Bray, aged 45.

Nicola was found at her home in Scrivener Road in Cliffe Vale at around 10.45am on Thursday (13 August).

Investigations continue into Nicola’s death and specially-trained officers are currently with her family to offer support at this difficult time.

Sheila Pickerill, aged 48, of Steel Street, Hartshill, has been charged with grievous bodily harm and appeared before magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre this morning (Saturday 15th August).
