The Smokies film festival (30-09-2020)

THE SMOKIES has enjoyed 3 years as THE BOTTLE SMOKE FILM FESTIVAL.

So as we move into a new festival year they have made a few changes.
Now with a new name ‘THE SMOKIES’ and a new list of categories. The aim is to screen films and at the same time inspiring filmmakers to continue in the industry.

100% of the funds raised will be used to enable MediCinema to continue its pioneering work – enabling patients and their families to feel better with film.

The event will be held at Stoke-on-Trent Film Theatre on September 30th 2020.

Awards & Prizes

Best Feature-Length Film.
Best Student film,
Best Micro Short,
Best Practical F/X,
Best Short Film
Best Actor/Actress.
Other categories T.B.A

They will also be presenting trophies ‘THE SMOKIES’ hand made by Burslem Pottery.
