UHNM stops visiting of patients and restrictions on attending A&E

UHNM has today said that in order to protect the safety of it’s patients, staff and the public, routine visiting times are being disrupted.

All visiting has now been stopped and they are asking the public to consider other ways of keeping in touch, such as phone calls or video calls.

Exceptions will be made at the discretion of the ward manager or clinical team. Anyone attending A&E should attend alone or be accompanied by just one family member or carer if absolutely necessary.

Free WiFi is available across the Trust should it be needed.

They have said that these restrictions may seem strict, but they hope you understand that everyone is facing a serious global threat to health. UHNM have a duty to protect everyone at their hospitals.
