Redhills Road temporarily closed due to damage to bridge

Part of Redhills Road, in the Birches Head area of the city, has been closed because of damage to the canal bridge.

Stoke on Trent City Council dangerous structures team were called to inspect the bridge following reports of a possible vehicle impact and it has been decided to close the road to ensure motorists’ safety.

The bridge is owned by the Canals and Rivers Trust, which has arranged for its contractor to carry out urgent repair work to the bridge.
