Police appeal after stabbing in Tunstall

Detectives have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent.

Emergency services were called at 4.25pm this afternoon (13 September) to a footpath off Furlong Road, known as the greenway.

A man in his thirties was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A police cordon is in place in the area as enquiries continue this evening.

Witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 486 of 13 September. Alternatively, for guaranteed anonymity, call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
